I signed up to the Magazine of Yoga a few months back, don’t have time to read everything all the time but Cora Wen is definitely my kinda crone so I had to read this tonight and it has just made my night and possibly my week. I feel exactly the same way about my teachers, Angela Farmer being my ultimate yoga goddess in every way and although I’m still in my early thirties I too have always gravitated towards older feminine teachers and often get labelled the restorative one, even in my tiny yoga community here in Tobago. But to me, what yoga is all about and it’s not necessarily easy, in fact it’s often more challenging to move slowly, to really go deep than it is to just train up the big muscles. Yet, even here is out tiny neck of the woods, hatha yoga is surging in popularity which is good but it’s still alot of the yang stuff that really draws the crowds so reading this tonight was really perfect and so inspiring and affirming that I had to get in touch to say so. It’s my birthday next week and I almost feel like it is the universe’s own special present for me! : ) Thank you and I can’t wait for part 2.
