Choose this class if…
You are looking to sweat, breathe, move.
You like high energy music.
In this Jivamukti class you will push the limits of the physical body in a rigorous vinyasa class in sync with a jamming play list of eclectic music.
What you can expect
An energy boost. Jivamukti Yoga classes are known for ending in a series filled with backbends and inversions.
A break from the thinking too much. Get lost in a mystical rhythm of the body moving through space.
Practices and postures
Vinyasa means to “flow with breath” and that is exactly what David Life’s class provides the practitioner.
Beginning and ending with guided meditation and pranayama (kabalabti), expect a challenging well sequenced standing series and countless creative variations of sun salutations.
Inversions are always an option, and fun arm balances are included to encourage flight and strength.
Listen to your own body and always know you have the choice to modify the practice to your own needs.
Philosophy: Jivamukti Yoga
Yoga’s innate core invites the students to expand one’s awareness of all spheres of waking life social, political and spiritual.
As the student’s mind and body open to grace on the mat, David Life and the Jivamukti method encourage students to contemplate global issues such as animal rights, environmentalism, veganism and political activism. Jivamukti inspires its students to live responsible and sustainable life styles.
A common mantra heard in the Jivamukti studios: Loka Samastha Sukino Bhavantu
“May all beings everywhere be happy, and may my actions, intentions, and efforts contribute to global harmony and that happiness.”
The Jivamukti method calls upon its students to live the truth found on the mat. Give back all that you have been given, AND THEN SOME!
