Actually, the music in this video leaves a lot to be desired, but this is Bunraku like you’ve never seen before. In the Japanese art of Bunraku, puppets are life size and are given motion by an entourage of puppeteers. The puppet masters study for years, usually one limb at a time (some specialize in right leg, others in left leg, etc) in order to enact life like movement.
The “camera angles” alone make this ping pong superb entertainment, but the final shot is even more surprising. Enjoy!
