Want to see an animation of how age changes your brain tissue? (Oh come on, sure you do- ) National Geographic has a compelling interactive graphic here. After the page fully loads in your web browser, click “continue”. You’ll get a well articulated drawing of the brain. The graphic explains some neurological concepts related to memory. If you choose the “forgetting” tab at the top of the graphic, you’ll navigate to a feature that shows the loss of neuronet structure associated with age. By dragging the graphic’s slider feature backward, you can also get an visual aid for how focusing your attention builds up neuronet connectivity.
